About Matthew: Matthew began as a society florist’s apprentice and went on to design and produce over 150 events per year as a sought after Washington, DC, Creative Director before training with directors of prestige brands and holders of Royal Warrants of Appointment to the British Royal Household. Today, he sustainably grows 35 varieties of exquisite roses and uses inherently eco-friendly historic techniques to create botanic portraits of season and place, without using trade-standard chemicals, floral foam, or mechanical refrigeration in his workshops.
In this flower-filled lunch, Matthew will share his path from commercial design to more mindful floristry and inspire you to more confidently cut, condition, and arrange flowers from your own garden.
